This British Standard specifies requirements for stainless steel hollow-ware for use in hospital operating-theatres and wards.
The standard specifies instrument trays of five nominal sizes, 200 mm × 150 mm, 250 mm × 200 mm, 300 mm × 250 mm, 350 mm × 250 mm and 350 mm × 300 mm; kidney dishes of four nominal sizes, 150 mm, 200 mm, 250 mm and 300 mm; wash bowls of three nominal sizes, 300 mm × 100 mm, 350 mm × 115 mm and 400 mm × 125 mm; lotion bowls of six nominal sizes, 100 mm × 45 mm, 125 mm × 55 mm, 150 mm × 65 mm, 200 mm × 90 mm, 250 mm × 110 mm and 300 mm × 135 mm; gallipots of seven nominal sizes, 40 mm (30 ml), 50 mm (60 ml), 60 mm (90 ml), 65 mm (120 ml), 70 mm (170 ml), 80 mm (250 ml) and 90 mm (320 ml).
