This British Standard specifies a method for the determination of the total ash from residues (excluding compounded products) obtained by the extraction of oil from oilseeds by pressure or solvent.


Incineration of product, ground if necessary, at 550 ± 15°C to constant mass. Apparatus, procedure, expression of results, test report. Not applicable to purposes subject to the Fertilisers and Feeding Stuffs Regulations 1973 or to the Fertilisers and Feeding Stuffs (Amendment) Regulations 1976.
