This British Standard describes methods for volumetric testing for rating of fan sections in central station air handling units.

It specifies how fan section test data may be extrapolated to cover:

1. fan sections that are geometrically similar in all respects to the one tested;
2. fan sections where the components and air passages, but not the fans, are geometrically similar.

Appendix A provides a guide to the volumetric and thermal rating of complete air handling units.
