BS 6600-1:1987

This standard BS 6600-1:1987 Outline dimensions of transformers and inductors for use in telecommunication and electronic equipment is classified in these ICS categories:
  • 29.180 Transformers. Reactors

This Part of BS 6600 specifies the outline dimensions of transformers and inductors, using E and I laminations as specified below, built for the four most commonly used forms of mounting style, namely bracket mounting, U-clamp mounting, printed wiring board (p.w.b.) mounting and frame mounting.

NOTE The titles of the publications referred to in this standard are listed on the inside back cover.

Outline dimensions and fixing centres for transformers and inductors according to BS 6554-1, for bracket, U-clamp, printed wiring board and frame styles of mounting. The frame style, which is an addition to the text of IEC 60852-1:1986, is preferred in the UK to the bracket style, which has the same outline dimensions.
