This British Standard describes a method for the determination of certain types of extractable matter in certain textiles with solvents, as listed in the Annex A. It is applicable to materials in any form but, where the textile is of a dense construction, certain preparations might be necessary to ensure adequate penetration and accessibility of the solvent used.
