BS AU 24a:1989

This standard BS AU 24a:1989 Specification for towing connections for trailers up to 5000 kg gross mass is classified in these ICS categories:

This British Standard specifies requirements for a towing jaw, towing hook, drawbar eye and lug and forecarriage pins for use in connections between a towing vehicle and a trailer of up to either 3 500 kg or 5 000 kg gross mass.

NOTE 1 The gross mass is taken to be gross laden masses where more than one trailer is drawn.

The drawbar eye is for use with two or four wheeled trailers, excepting trailers forming part of an articulated vehicle.
