This standard defines the requirements of an identity framework for metaverse. This standard provides an identity framework for use across different metaverse systems. Furthermore, the standard helps to recognize the relevance between real world and virtual world entities. The standard covers business logic, operational procedures, and authentication programs. Also, the standard defines terminologies, a basic architectural framework, and key indicators.

This project provides an identity framework to satisfy the requirement of entities to interoperate/interact cross multiple metaverse systems. It includes identity recognition in multiple systems, identity profile management and presentation in different systems, and id-based access control for data interoperability cross systems (authentication, authorization, and accounting).

New IEEE Standard - Active. The requirements of an identity framework for metaverse is defined in this standard. An identity framework for use across different metaverse systems is provided.
